quantitative energy analyst @ powerex

Powerex — Quantitative Energy Analyst • Vancouver, BC
May 2025 – August 2025

Overview

Powerex is an energy trading company that trades electricity across WECC in the day-ahead and real-time markets, along with natural gas and environmental credits. I joined the Front Office Analytics team, where I built quantitative tools and analyses to support traders on the power and gas desks and helped manage the LCFS credit portfolio. This was a good chance to use my technical skills in a financial industry setting.
